Teacher’s Aide

Description:  We are currently looking for friendly and competent assistants to join our team.  If you are a compassionate and self-motivated individual with a specific interest in education, you are the right person for one of the positions.  You will be responsible for assisting teachers in supervising Early Childhood – 2^nd grade students, preparing lesson materials as directed by the teacher,  and maintaining classroom tidiness. The work hours are Monday-Friday 7:00 am- 1:00 pm at $17 per hour.

Responsibilities:

1. Work with lead teacher to monitor the class schedule.
2. Assist teacher with the lesson preparations by getting materials ready.
3. Ensuring the classroom environment is safe and clean.
4. Overseeing students during non-classroom times during lunch and recess and occasional field trips.
5. Collaborate with lead teacher to recognize issues students are facing.
6. Attend all training classes, parent conferences and faculty meetings.

Requirements:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a teaching assistant or similar role preferred, but not required.
3. Bilingual ( English/Spanish) ability preferred, but not required.
4. Must have a compassionate and positive attitude.
5. Outstanding interpersonal and presentation abilities.
