St. Bernard of Clairvaux, known as the “Little Gem of East Dallas”, is a PreK – 8th grade elementary school. We have an opening for a part time Dyslexia Interventionist.
General Summary of the Position
The individual in this position will work with Dyslexic students using the Take Flight program. The position reports to the principal.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Position
- Support and uphold the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the school.
- Act as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teaching of the Roman Catholic Church.
- Practice positive, consistent discipline in the management of the classroom.
- Communicate regularly with parents, teachers and administration regarding the progress of the students participating in the Dyslexia program.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the principal.
Qualifications
- Must meet the minimum requirements for teaching field as set forth by the Diocese and TCCB ED.
- CALT or CALT-C
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
This is a grant-funded position with employment contingent upon the availability of grant funding. The position is expected to continue through January 2025, with the possibility of renewal contingent on securing additional funding.
