PK4-8

St. Rita School has an immediate opening for a PK-4 Technology teacher.

ST. RITA’S SPECIALISTS SCHOOL PROGRAM:
In addition to following St. Rita Catholic School’s Classroom Teacher Responsibilities and Duties description, specialists (PK -8) classroom teachers agree to follow department-specific position expectations.

SPECIAL CLASSES PROGRAM PHILOSOPHY:
St. Rita Catholic School’s Specials Programs provide our students with a well-rounded education. Beyond the regular classroom studies, specialized classes consist of visual and performing fine arts, physical education, technology, STREAM experiences,
languages other than English, library, and guidance. Our Specials Program classes are regularly taught by specific, specialized teachers who instruct in the early childhood and elementary schools. Our specialists also provide middle school electives that allow our older students to explore specific topics within a discipline.

SPECIALISTS’ PROGRAM POSITION EXPECTATIONS:
St. Rita Catholic School offers our early childhood and elementary school students specialized instruction on a scheduled rotating basis. Specials Teachers collaborate both vertically and horizontally within their teaching teams to sequentially and logically build upon knowledge as students progress from prekindergarten through the eighth grades. Generally, St. Rita’s Specials Teachers deliver outside programs for our families. Examples include musical shows and reviews, art shows, coaching, and portfolios of work.

TECHNOLOGY
Technology class is an educational course that supports students in an age-appropriate manner. Students will learn foundational technology skills including the fundamentals of typing, digital citizenship, coding, online safety, and digital literacy.
