St. Rita School has a potential opening for a full-time middle school math teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. This position entails teaching up to four sections of Math to either 5th, 6th, or 7th graders. The teacher would either have one or two different classes to plan for over four sections. The position will also work alongside four other middle school math teachers and a middle school math specialist.
The successful candidate will have experience teaching middle school math, certification, and preferably be a practicing Catholic. Each candidate should work well as part of a middle school faculty PLC team that actively engages students through differentiated academic instruction. SRS is a 1:1 device school. Thus, teachers are expected to demonstrate meaningful skills with technology and create authentic learning experiences for their students.
Utilizing The College and Heaven Standards set forth by the Diocese of Dallas, middle school teachers at St. Rita will create and provide experiences and activities that challenge all learners and set high standards for achievement. Middle school instructors lead students to dig deeper into fields of interest and to increase student ownership of their learning.
