~Teacher – Long-Term Substitute – 7th/8th Social Studies

St. Rita Catholic School has an immediate opening for a long-term substitute teacher for 7th/8th Social Studies.

The successful candidate will have experience teaching middle school Social Studies and is ideally certified to teach SS. Each candidate should work well as part of a middle school faculty PLC team that actively engages students through differentiated academic instruction. The successful candidate should:

• Be open to growth and have enthusiasm for learning;
• Have knowledge of instructional practices and pedagogy;
• Have effective classroom management skills;
• Have the ability to differentiate for all students effectively;
• Have social studies knowledge appropriate to the grade level of students;
• Have strong organizational skills;
• Understand the behavior, emotional, and cognitive needs of middle school students.
