Bishop Dunne Catholic School: Social Studies Teacher
Bishop Dunne Catholic School seeks a Part-time (benefits eligible) Social Studies Teacher starting in January 2023.

Bishop Dunne is the only Catholic diocesan school that enrolls students in grades six through twelve. The Bishop Dunne student body mirrors the diversity of Dallas, with over 75% identifying as students of color, and approximately half the students are Catholic.
Bishop Dunne Catholic School is seeking an experienced high school teacher who can teach several sections of semester course in economics, including AP Microeconomics. The Part-time position will begin in January 2023.
The candidate will be a dedicated professional who understands the joys and demands of teaching and is able to develop daily lessons that meet the goals of the classes, complete grading, and perform all basic administrative duties (ex. maintain attendance records, accurate grade book, comment writing).
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
- A minimum of 12 credits in education or a valid Texas teaching certificate
- Ability to teach Economics and AP Microeconomics
- Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Strong interpersonal communications skills; competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the organization
- Solid technology skills for use in instructional and professional tasks.

Hours: Ability to teach two 90-minute blocks each day.
Reports to: Assistant Principal

The Classroom Teacher plans, guides, and evaluates the learning process of students. This position reports to the assistant principal and has decision-making responsibilities within the framework of school policies, philosophy, organization, and curriculum.
