English Teacher
Bishop Dunne Catholic School is seeking a high school English Teacher who is able to teach a variety of English courses and grade levels. The position will be for the 2023-2024 Academic Year.
Job Requirements:
The candidate will be a dedicated professional who understands the joys and demands of teaching, with at least two years’ experience teaching English at the secondary level and in-depth knowledge of the subject matter. Teachers are expected to develop daily lessons that meet the goals of the classes, complete grading, maintain an advisory group and lead advisory group meetings, as well as perform all basic administrative duties (ex. maintain attendance records, accurate grade book, comment writing).
Education/Experience Requirements:
An undergraduate degree in English from an accredited university. A valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for the subject and level assigned is preferred. The candidate must have strong interpersonal communications skills and solid technology skills for use in instructional and professional tasks.
