Computer Science and Innovative Technologies Teacher

Bishop Dunne Catholic School is seeking an experienced high school Computer Science and Innovative Technologies Teacher who can teach a variety of technology courses, including gaming, web design, robotics, graphics and animation, and AP computer science principles. Opportunities for eSports coaching also available. The position will be for the 2023-2024 Academic Year.

Job Requirements:
The candidate will be a dedicated professional who understands the joys and demands of teaching and is experienced as a mentor and master teacher. Teachers are expected to develop daily lessons that meet the goals of the classes, complete grading, maintain an advisory group and lead advisory group meetings, as well as perform all basic administrative duties (ex. maintain attendance records, accurate grade book, comment writing).

Education/Experience Requirements:
Qualifications include: An undergraduate degree in computer science or related field from an accredited university, with at least 12 credits in education. The ideal candidate will have experience and/or certifications in the following:

Adobe Creative Suite
Unity and Unity VR for Education
AP Computer Science Principles (APSI or Reader experience a plus)

A valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for the subject and level assigned is preferred. The candidate must have strong interpersonal communications skills and solid technology skills for use in instructional and professional tasks.
